CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) – Business-minded SEMO students got the chance to learn from the experts Wednesday afternoon.
On April 23, Southeast Missouri Regional Economic Development Incorporated, or SEMO REDI, hosted an event on campus, featuring three tech entrepreneurs from the area.
Students got to ask them questions about overcoming challenges and their experiences building the businesses.
SEMO REDI’s director, Lucas Preston, says he hopes the students left feeling encouraged.
“These three speakers today they’ve chosen to live and work in Southeast Missouri. They’re building their businesses here. And so we want to encourage students and also folks in the community to think about how can they start companies, and that’s really where a lot of the business growth is is from new business startups,” Preston said.
SEMO REDI offers resources to those trying to start businesses here in the Heartland.
