HOLLAND PATENT — Jacob Olearczyk signed his national letter of intent to play division one golf at Le Moyne College Monday afternoon.

Olearczyk is a senior at Holland Patent, has been a stand-out golfer for the Golden Knights and is entering his fifth year on the golf team.

During his time with Holland Patent, he has been a four-time All-Mohawk Valley Golf Team Member, two-time CNY PGA Player of the year, and a two-time New York state junior amateur champion.

As a sophomore, Olearczyk won the 2023 Section III State Qualifier tournament and had the opportunity to compete in the Drive, Chip, and Putt in Augusta on the same course of The Masters.

Olearczyk said it feels amazing, embarking on a new journey and new opportunities.

“Of course there is a nerve factor there going away from home even though it is not that far, just have to see what the world has for me out there,” said Olearczyk.

Jacob had multiple offers to play golf at the collegiate level, but chose Le Moyne after playing junior golf in the Syracuse area.

“Coach Tesori and his staff have been present in the Syracuse area for as long as I knew, and I grew up in Syracuse playing junior golf, so he was able to watch me grow through my journey and my golf career. I think once that offer came, I knew I couldn’t pass it up, and I had to take that,” Olearczyk.

He plans on majoring in finance at Le Moyne and his goal for his senior season is to be the best player he can be for Holland Patent.
