LIVINGSTON, Mont. – I-90 is currently closed in both directions in Livingston, leading to significant traffic delays. The closure is due to drifting snow and strong winds creating icy conditions.
The Park County Sheriff’s Office shared that traffic is backed up, and it is taking a considerable amount of time for drivers to get through town. “Once again, I90 over the flats is closed due to drifting snow and wind causing icy areas,” Undersheriff Tad Dykstra stated. “Traffic is backed up in both directions, and it is taking a long time to get into/through town.”
The Montana Department of Transportation (MDOT) is actively monitoring the situation and clearing the roadway as conditions allow. They have closed I-90 East at Exit 330 and I-90 West at Exit 337. Traffic is being detoured through Livingston, and drivers should expect delays.
MDOT has issued a high-priority alert due to dangerous crosswinds on I-90 East and West. They are working to open the road as soon as possible, but drivers are advised to plan for delays and drive carefully.
