CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Clouds stick around this afternoon with some chances for snowflakes possible. We are not anticipating any accumulation with this due to the fact that the air is still very dry.

Moisture continues to expand through the day to our southwest along a warm front.

This will then track into our area late this evening and through the overnight.

It is warming aloft, but the temperatures at the surface will be below 32 degrees at first.

This is why the precipitation will start out as freezing rain and sleet.

Most towns should see less than a quarter inch of ice, but it will not take much ice at all to cause big travel impacts overnight and into the early hours tomorrow morning.

Eventually the ice changes over to just rain as temperatures warm above 32 degrees.

Road surfaces could remain slick due to cold ground temperatures.

The early morning rain will diminish to some drizzle tomorrow, otherwise a mostly cloudy sky is in the forecast.
